Flea Preparation

Remember, these are
only guidelines and other steps may be required depending on the location of the infestation.
Please do
the following prior to treatment for fleas.
1. Vacuum all rugs, carpets, fabric furniture, (under and between cushions),
and closet floors. Be sure to vacuum daily after the treatment as well and dispose of the bag upon completion.
2. Mop all tile and hardwood floors. Vacuum baseboards with crack and crevice tool.
3. Concrete must be
swept, vacuumed, or mopped.
4. Floors must be cleared of all objects, including those in closets.
5.
Pet bedding must be cleaned or thrown away.
6. Plants can remain in the home. They will not be affected.
7. Pets must be given a professional flea bath while the home is being treated. Pets cannot remain in
the home during treatment. Fish tanks should be covered with a towel or removed. The pumps should be turned off
until you return. Remove all birds for 6-8 hours, 24 hours is preferred.
8. Vacate the treated premises
for a minimum of:

9. Pick up all toys, pet
food, water dishes, etc. in the yard. Pets can return to yard as soon as the treated area is dry.
10. Open
windows and/or doors to ventilate your home when you re-enter.
Do not be alarmed if there is some minor
flea activity for about two weeks after service. These newly hatched fleas will be controlled by the residual effect
of the chemical. Continue to vacuum daily.
